Fantasy Armour
The armour and weapons found here are all intended as theatrical or display pieces. The images presented here are pieces made from Hardwoods, Medium Density Fibreboard, plywood, polyester resin, and a range of faux techniques to achieve various metallic and oxidation effects. (I will consider making weaponry for battle reenactment if some of the technical requirements can be resolved with the help of the buyer)
This first piece above was inspired by the work of Ian Norbury. The Axe head is steel and the handle is English Elm inlaid with copper. The shield measures 22 inches in diameter and is made from a seventeenth century floorboard with resin detailing.
This Bronze effect shield and axe set has an English oak handle with a steel head painted in acrylics. The handle features a shell motif and applied resin detailing. The shield is MDF, resin, and faux bronze finish with gold pen detail.
This next shield is made from black leather and MDF and has resin faux steel detailing. It measures 20 inches in diameter
The above Viking inspired shield design features a central oak and glass boss and resin detail. It measures 19.5 inches in diameter.
This shield above is a convex leather bound stitched shield with resin detail and features a pretend blade made from Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) which is stained and highlighted as steel.
This bronze helm is lifesize and is made of MDF, resin, cardboard and has a faux bronze finish. The spiked bronze shield below is part of the helm set.
